Competitions are an important part of a student’s Taekwon-do or Kickboxing journey. Here at Miles Martial Arts we aim to offer our students a variety of competitions throughout each year. We have a dedicated team ready to help any student wanting to compete. Whether that be with the Squad sessions we offer for those wanting to improve their sparring skills or our Competition co-ordinator who organises all entries and keeps everyone updated on any details or rule changes a student might need.
All competition correspondence along with upcoming competition announcements can be found on our Student Online Resources Facebook page, or contact admin@miles-martial-arts.co.uk

In 2023 we proudly launched our inaugural Club Championships.
Our vision was clear from the outset: to create a competition environment that exuded inclusivity, warmth, and accessibility. We aimed to provide a platform that would not only challenge our seasoned competitors but also extend a welcoming hand to those who may be stepping into the competitive arena for the first time.
For those who hadn’t yet tasted the thrill of competition, our Championships presented an opportunity to step out of their comfort zones, to build confidence, and to discover the depths of their own abilities. It was a chance for them to experience firsthand the camaraderie, sportsmanship, and personal growth that come from pushing oneself beyond familiar boundaries.
Meanwhile, for our seasoned competitors, the Club Championships served as another milestone in their ongoing quest for excellence. It was a chance to test their skills, to refine their techniques, and to celebrate the culmination of their hard work and dedication in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Since the 1st July 2022, we have introduced a Miles Martial Arts ranking system for students who have taken part in competitions. Students who enter any competition or are successful in winning medals will receive a set number of points. These points will be collated over the course of the year, and students will be awarded prizes at the end of the year based on various achievements.
The leaderboard will be updated after each competition and is available for all to see on the noticeboard at the Hildenborough dojang. For those training at other dojangs, please contact admin@miles-martial-arts.co.uk and we can send you a copy.
