We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Hildenborough’s own Alex Chalke, who has claimed the prestigious title of European Kickboxing Champion after an outstanding performance at this year’s championships.

After two intense and hard-fought matches, Alex triumphed over some of Europe’s toughest fighters — including national champions from Greece and Germany — to secure the gold medal. His journey began with a commanding opening-round victory against Greece, followed by a thrilling final against Germany’s national champion. Despite a tough, physical battle, Alex’s strategy and determination earned him a unanimous 3:0 win and the European crown.

“This title means everything,” Alex shared. “It’s the result of years of training, sacrifice, and passion for kickboxing. I’m proud to bring this victory home.”

Alex’s kickboxing journey to European Champion began right here at Miles Martial Arts, where he joined after his son took up the sport. Returning to training at the age of 45, Alex proved that age is no barrier to success. His dedication and perseverance have made him an inspiration to both young and adult students alike.

Everyone at Miles Martial Arts is behind Alex and couldn’t be prouder of his incredible achievement. His hard work, humility, and commitment reflect the very best of the club’s spirit. The team, students, and instructors have all rallied to celebrate his success, seeing it as a true inspiration for what can be accomplished through dedication and heart.
